Thursday at Gettysburg

We spent the batter part of the day on the hallowed ground of Gettysburg National Military Park today.  After seeing the opening movie and cyclorama, our young historians turned soldiers as they raced to the railroad cut like the Iron Brigade  formed the lines of the Union and Confederacy near Robert E. Lee, and relived Pickett's Charge on the actual spot of the event.  We also spent some time at the National Zoo, hanging out with the animals ... and the zoo wildlife as well.  Pandas are soo cool according to the 8th garde class.  Sorry we don't have many pictures yet for our Thursday collection, but we will be sure to take many on the Potomac River cruise this evening!
